Authorities Searching for Escapee From Southeast Oklahoma Prison

Authorities throughout the area are searching for an inmate who escaped from a Southeast Oklahoma prison Wednesday morning. Joe D. Andrus, 33, was discovered missing during the 10:00 am headcount at the Jackie Brannon Correctional Unit in McAlester. Andrus was serving a ten year sentenced for fraud and theft.
