After receiving information from witnesses, Marion County Deputies executed search warrants on several residences in Avinger and arrested Don Leifheit for felony animal cruelty. They rescued 44 dogs, puppies, and one cat. Many of the animals required medical care. Tuesday, officers arraigned Leifheit and set his bond at $85,000.
