Balch Springs Police Officer Convicted Of Murder Won’t Face Additional Charges

The former Balch Springs Police Officer convicted of murder won’t face additional aggravated assault charges. A jury found Roy Oliver guilty of murder in the shooting death of Jordan Edwards and sentenced him to 15 years in prison. A judge has now dismissed four aggravated assault charges against Oliver. The charges stem from Oliver allegedly pulling a gun on two women while off duty.
