Bank Robbery Suspect Killed By Sherman Police

The suspect in the armed robbery of the First United Bank in Sherman last week was fatally shot Friday night by Sherman Police. Police got a 911 call from the VFW in Sherman about an armed man who had cut the building’s phone lines. The first officer encountered the suspect, who pulled a weapon on the officer and forced the officer to shoot. The suspect, identified as Larry Wayne Harvey, III, died at the scene. Texas Rangers are investigating.
