Base Camp For Emergency Workers In Camp County

An East Texas Base Camp has been set up in Pittsburg to assist those still without power from the recent severe storms and the blistering heat. Forest Service personnel, National Guard troops, police, and fire units are all pitching in to help people with bottled water, ice, MREs, and even healthcare at mobile patient buses. The aid workers live in a tent city in the Broach Park area. They’ll be serving in several counties adjacent to Camp.
