Bill Filed In State Legislature To Raise Pay of School Employees

A bill has been filed  in the state legislature to give public school employees a raise. The bill establishes a $15 an hour minimum wage and  includes all support staff such as custodians, bus drivers and food service workers. Another bill would double the state’s annual contribution to employees healthcare plans from $900 to $1800. Both bills apply to public and open enrolment charter schools.
