Bill Introduced To Fast Track Fannin County Lake

US Congressman John Ratcliffe is co-author of a bill in the House of Representatives that would bypass the EPA and speed construction for a proposed new lake in Fannin County. Most county officials support the construction of the Lower B’ois D’arc (Bow-Dark) Reservoir and say it would bring economic growth to the county. Not all are in favor of the proposed lake however. One rancher in Honey Grove said he would lose between 200 and 1000 acres of his property if construction goes forward.
