Blake, Gwen and the Kids in Today’s Nashville Roundup

Entertainment Tonight claims Blake Shelton treats Gwen Stefani’s children like his own. A source tells the TV show, “Blake has made Gwen’s boys a huge priority in his life. Gwen and Blake do so many fun activities with the boys and Blake plays with them like a big kid. He seriously enjoys doing things with the kids like going to the movies, fishing, camping, and teaching them to horseback ride and boating.”

Jam Bands says John Mayer was recently performing in Nashville when he invited Chris Stapleton on stage to perform a song they wrote together called ”I Just Remembered That I Didn’t Care.”

Jake Owen tells CMT that his daughter, Pearl, may follow in his footsteps and become an entertainer. “I don’t know if she is musically inclined. She does like to sing, I think she gets the entertainer value from me. She likes to entertain and I do too. I noticed that she thinks it’s cool to be a part of spotlight and, ‘Hey! That’s what you do. You lift your little girls up’!”

Dan+Shay star Shay Mooney tells People magazine that he and Dan Smyers have a close bond. “We complement each other. We balance each other out. I think that’s the beautiful thing about being in a duo. I can’t think about what we would fight about something stupid probably, like whether we should have another Guinness or not.”

Luke Bryan tells People magazine that he’s proud to be ‘country.’ “What makes me proud to be country is the fact that I’ve navigated so many aspects of this career and held on to being country in a lot of ways. I wake up, I get to go take my boys out and do country things.”

The women in Runaway June tell CMT that they are performing a medley of hit songs with Carrie Underwood during their tour. “We go out back out to the stage after our set and Maddie & Tae’s set, and we all sing a medley that’s about ten songs long. Carrie put together this incredible list, from Tammy Wynette to Shania Twain. We do all these iconic songs — from decades and decades of country music — and the crowd goes crazy.”

Some of the songs that have been sung include …

At most stops so far, that list has included

“Stand by Your Man,” “Walkin’ After Midnight”

“Coal Miner’s Daughter”

“9 to 5”

“She’s in Love with the Boy”

“Man! I Feel Like a Woman!”
