Blake Shelton On Hunting And Fishing In Today’s Nashville Roundup

Blake Shelton tells Rolling Stone magazine that he loves hunting in Oklahoma.“Unless it’s raining, I’m hunting or fishing or farming … sometimes I’ll go hunting for caribou in Canada, or elk hunting. But bow-hunting white-tailed deer in Oklahoma is my favorite thing. It takes me back to my childhood.”

Thomas Rhett tells GQ magazine that he draws inspiration from Taylor Swift.“When it comes to gauging success, Taylor Swift is somebody I look up to a lot in that respect. When you think of all the things that Taylor Swift has accomplished, you’re just like, “You’ve sold out multiple nights at soccer stadiums in Australia. What else is there to do?” And then you always see Taylor diving into something new.”

Kip Moore tells Noisey magazine that he doesn’t care about maintaining a young fan base. “You’ll sell your soul for whatever it takes to be famous nowadays. I’m never going to be one of those artists that are trying to stay relevant with a super-young pop-culture centered audience. That’s what we’re pushed to do. That’s what’s been shoved down my throat over and over. I see it all the time with artists trying to hold onto that. I refuse to do that. I’m going to grow as my music grows. I’m going to grow as a human being.”

Dierks Bentley tells FemaleFirst that he does whatever he can to balance touring with his personal life. “I think all you can really do is to be present wherever you are. So if I’m on the road, I honor my family by being 100% present with the job that I’m doing … just give it all you’ve got. That’s what happens in the live shows, the energy you get from the live show is like, ‘This has to be great because this is why I’m here.'”
