Blake Talks Taylor Swift In Today’s Nashville Roundup

Blake Shelton tells People magazine that he is looking forward to having Taylor Swift mentor contestants on The Voice. “This season, she brings even more experience to the table. It’s no accident that she’s the biggest star in the world. She’s not only talented, but she’s really smart. So it’s fun to work with.”

Jason Aldean’s wife, Brittany, tells People magazine that she lost her baby weight by being naturally active. “You feel almost like your in an alien body. It’s not yours. It’s nice to find comfort in knowing it’s not going to take a week to do. It’s going to take time. My go-to fitness routine is anything that’s just naturally active. I like to do activities. I can’t just pop in a gym all the time.”

Jake Owen was recently performing in Louisville when he brought his baby daughter, Paris, on stage with him. She was wearing headphones and drew a standing ovation.

Rolling Stone magazine says CMT’s annual Artist of the Year special will air on October 16th and will honor Carrie Underwood, Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, Kane Brown, and Thomas Rhett.

Matt Stell tells People magazine that his friends aren’t impressed by his fame. “I have a bunch of friends in Arkansas that couldn’t care less about all of this. Their favorite thing is to go on a group text and make fun of me. So yeah, that really helps keep me grounded. You try to be a good person and you try to treat people with respect, and none of that changes when you are up here.”

Chris Janson tells CMT that he felt successful even when he was sleeping in his car. “I always felt like I was winning. I felt like I was winning then. I feel like I’m winning now. When you wake up, you’re winning. No big deal. Never in my life have I ever needed anything more than what I had at the moment. I always felt blessed and right where I was supposed to be … I realized you had to go to work, but I didn’t know what that word meant. All I knew it was I didn’t have enough money to get an apartment. No big deal, I thought, sleeping in my car. It was second nature to me.”
