Bond Set For Hopkins County Man Who Tried To Take Guns From Deputies

A Hopkins County man remains jailed on $10,000 bond after he allegedly tried to take the weapons away from deputies called to his mother’s home because he was allegedly tearing up the house. 27 year old Billy Carl Chapman had to be tased by a deputy before he could be handcuffed and taken into custody. He’s been charged with attempting to take a weapon from a law enforcement officers, which is a state jail felony.
