Bond Set In Trooper Dragging Case

Bond has been set at $102,000 for the man accused of dragging a state trooper with his vehicle during a DWI stop on I-30. The suspect, 30-year-old Matthias Benjamin Slaughter, of Garland, suffered minor injuries when he was shot by the trooper and remains behind bars in Hunt County on charges of aggravated assault of a public servant, DWI, evading arrest and resisting arrest. The injured trooper is recovering at home.
