Officers arrested members of a Bowie County family for claiming their Polaris all-terrain vehicle had been stolen. Matthew Kyle Gates, 21, Randall Keith Gates, 49, and Tina Janette Gates, 48, of Simms, were charged with filing a false police report. Investigators later received an anonymous call that someone had sunk the ATV in a pond not far from the Gates’ home.
