The Mt. Vernon woman charged with murdering her step-son pleaded guilty today(Friday) to capital murder in Franklin County District Court. 31 year old Christie Lynn Roycroft was then sentenced by Judge Eddie Northcutt to Life In Prison without the possibility of parole. Roycroft had been indicted for stabbing 6 year old Benjamin Roycroft multiple times on New Year’s Eve at their apartment at Logan’s Point in Mt. Vernon.
