Brooks & Dunn’s Crossroads Special In Today’s Nashville Roundup

Blake Shelton tells Entertainment Tonight that he has no plans to release any full-length albums anytime soon. “I don’t want to put out an album. I really don’t. I’m sure that at some point my record company people are going to pressure me into it, but as of now, I’m not putting out an album this year. I know that. I’ll be just as happy to release just another single. I do [have more songs] and I’ve got other stuff that I’m pumped about, but when I think about an album right now I’m like, ‘Do people care about them anymore?’ I don’t know. But I’m having a blast just releasing singles. Maybe I’ll do that from now on.”

Rolling Stone magazine says Brooks and Dunn will tape a CMT Crossroads special on June 4th in Nashville. Luke Combs, Jon Pardi, Brett Young, Cody Johnson, Midland, and Lanco’s Brandon Lancaster will all be a part of the taping.

The NY Post claims Carrie Underwood wore a 158-carat ring while performing on the season finale of American Idol on Sunday. The $30,000 ring had a 14-carat black gold band.

Kelsea Ballerini tells Rolling Stone magazine that she took a little time off to let her induction into the Grand Ole Opry sink in. “We live in such a fast-paced industry that it’s really important to take the moment to let it process and let it sink in or else you never really do and it just becomes a part of your story that you sometimes remember and sometimes don’t. So me and Morgan (Morgan Evans-Ballerini’s husband) snuck down to Mexico for a couple of days. I took a couple of mornings and looked through all the photos of the first weekend of the tour and the hometown show and the Opry induction.”

Lee Brice tells Rolling Stone magazine that Memorial Day means a lot to him.“I’ve always had a connection, just for the fact that some of the biggest parts of my life were my granddaddies and uncles and cousins that were in the military. So I’ve been a part of that and heard stories and learned so much in life because of that. Any time I got a chance over the years to be a part of anything benefiting the Armed Forces, I wanted to do it and I wanted to be a part of it.”

Maren Morris tells People magazine that she dislikes exercising even though she trains 3 days a week. “Squat lunges are the worst. They’re so hard because that’s the area I need it most — my thighs and butt.”
