Brookshires Company Cutting Jobs

The Brookshire Grocery Company announced Tuesday that due to significant competitive pressures and unfavorable economic conditions, there will be a workforce reduction within the company. Approximately 85 people will be affected. The main impact will be on corporate, manufacturing, and logistics areas within the company. The company’s main bakery will also be closed.  There should not be any impact to the company’s approximately 14,400 employees in retail and other support functions.
