Bugs Give Back, Supporting Renee’s Run

November 22, 2016: SHREVEPORT – The NAHL Shreveport Mudbugs show their altruistic colors on and off the ice. This Saturday, November 26 at 8am, purple is their color in a Bugs Give Back effort to run cancer out of Shreveport/Bossier in Renee’s Run, benefitting pancreatic cancer. The race starts and finishes at Sci-Port Discovery Center in downtown Shreveport, where the Mudbugs’ team and the new Ladybugs Danceline will be there to cheer on the 5K runners crossing the finish line. Sportspectrum. Registration fees on or after 11/9/16, are $30 per adult over the age of 18 and $20 for children and young adults. Race Day Registration Fees are $35 per adult over the age of 18 and $25 for children and young adults.

The Mudbugs’ next home game on Saturday, November 26 7:11pm puck drop at George’s Pond will be themed #PurpleReign. The Renee’s Run Mudbugs’ jerseys will be auctioned immediately following the game with proceeds benefitting the fight against pancreatic cancer, PANCAN. An overwhelming 90 silent auction items will also be on display around the concourse of George’s Pond and at Cattlemen’s Kitchen next door to George’s Pond at the Tiaras, Tuxes, and Tennis Shoes Gala event during and after the game.
