Burn Ban in Effect for Lamar County

Late Tuesday afternoon, Lamar County Judge Chuck Superville issued  an emergency order to prohibit outdoor burning . The order was issued because of the recent rash of grass and structure fires in the county. The ban is in effect until February 7, but could be extended by the Commissioner’s Court.
