Burn Bans In Effect

Counties enacting outdoor burn bans last Friday were Lamar and Titus. Lamar County Commissioners will meet Monday morning in a special session at 9:00 and consider extending the ban. That leaves only Franklin County in the area that has not ordered a burn ban. The Mt Vernon Firefighters Corporation posted on its Facebook page that the danger in Franklin County is serious, and everyone should avoid all outdoor burning.
