Dylan’s Drivers provides a safe and reliable service within Lamar County, Texas, by providing free, non-judgemental, confidential rides to individuals who are rendered incapable of or lack access to safe transportation. Their hours of operations are Thursday be from 10:00 pm to 12:00 am, Friday and Saturday nights from 10:00 pm until 3:00 am. Call 903.905.4959

Adopt a pet today- give a dog or cat a forever home! Head over to the Paris Animal Shelter or look for the Lamar County Humane Association in front of Petco on Saturdays. And if you have a pet, have them spayed or neutered.

Elks Lodge has a Veterans and First Responders Breakfast the third Saturday of the month at the Lodge. (5/19)

Dylan’s Drivers Kicking for a Cause COED Kickball Tournament the Third Annual “Kicking for a Cause” Saturday, May 19. Get a team together, help a great cause and have some fun! Saturday, May 19, it’s Riverfest from 10:00 am till 10:00 pm. Featuring 11 bands (Country, rock, and blues) at the K River Campground, 1.7 miles North of Moyers Oklahoma on OK Hwy 2 N. Passes are $20, veterans $10 with a $5 Cooler fee. (No glass containers please). The event is to help save the Kiamichi River.

Walk or Run together to send some kids to summer camp for Young Life. A Nine Hole Walk/Run (1.6 miles) $20/18 Hole Walk/Run (3.2 miles or 5k) $30 and also get pledges per Hole and make a great contribution Example: $1.00 per hole = $18-Donate $100 or more and receive a 4-some with free green fees to use on another day! Red River County Fourth Annual Kids Safe Saturday Saturday, May 19, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Clarksville Fairgrounds. Fun Day to Celebrate Kids, Promote Safety, and Provide Health Education! The first 100 children will receive a free T-Shirt! Door Prizes will be given out during the day! “Toys,” Bicycles, Etc….Come on out and bring the family and enjoy! Vendors will have Water Safety, Child Passenger Safety, and Car Seat Checks, Fire Safety, Miniature Therapy Ponies, Bounce House, Electrical Safety, Petting Zoo, Face Painting not to mention other vendors with fun activities plus Free Hot Dogs, Water, Cotton Candy, and Snow Cones.

Bethel Baptist Church’s youth crusade is May 19 at 6:00 pm. Christian music artists Shonlock, Canon and Sherrod White will perform. Comedian Taylor Johnson will perform after the artists. This event, Bethel Baptist Youth Center, 13086 FM 905, Pattonville, starts with free food at 5:00 pm. The crusade is free, however, seating is limited.
