The Northeast Texas Choral Society’s Springs Show with the theme – “ The Bright Lights of Broadway” will be held this weekend at the ROC on Oak Avenue in Sulphur Springs. The show features music from your favorite Broadway musicals performed by the chorus and outstanding soloists under the direction of Carol Allen. Deserts and coffee will be available during the shows. The Saturday night show is sold out, but tickets are still available for the 3pm Sunday matinee.
The Red, Whites and Brews Wine and Beer festival will be held tomorrow beginning at 3 on Celebration Plaza in downtown Sulphur Springs. Samples will be available of Texas made wines and craft beers at a cost of 10 tastings for $20. Live music for the festival will be provided by Southern Soul and Chris Bevill and the S.O. Band.
A Hamburger cookout will be held today from 11am till the burgers are gone to benefit the Heritage Christian Counseling Center in Sulphur Springs. It will be held downtown in the First United Methodist Church parking lot between City National and Alliance banks. $5 will get you a burger, chips, drink and dessert.
The Miller Grove FFA will hold their annual stew and auction tomorrow at the school. Many projects made by the AG students will be available for auction, including smokers, fire pits, picnic tables and many other items.
