So far, only two candidates have filed for a place on the Sulphur Springs City Council in the May 7 municipal elections. Tommy Harrison, a retired Department of Defense Army Civilian Logististics Specialist for Large Military Installations, is currently a Planning and Zoning Commission member. He is seeking a seat for Place 4. Incumbent Gary Spraggins, who lists his occupation as a salesman, seeks re-election to the Place 5 position.
