Carly’s Wedding Plans In Today’s Nashville Roundup

Sounds Like Nashville claims Tim McGraw is going to perform “Thought About You” at a Super Bowl tailgate party on Super Bowl Sunday. CBS is going to air the performance live.

Thomas Rhett tells Southern Living magazine that he LOVES his children more than anything. “I never thought that I could love anything more than my wife…not that I love my kids more than my wife it’s an equal love, but it’s just a different kind of love and it’s just been such a crazy last couple of years.”

Riley Green tells Cowboys And Indians magazine that he writes songs about life’s lessons. “I’m not the best singer in the world and I’m certainly not the best songwriter in the world. Even before signing a record deal, I wrote songs about stuff I knew and how I grew up and I mean it just so happened a lot of people grew up like that.”

Lauren Alaina and Luke Bryan covered “Meant To Be” during a recent concert in Mexico. They laughed when they forgot some of the lyrics.

Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley says they want to record with some pop stars. “We’ve said this a lot lately, but Bruno Mars would be somebody that’d be amazing to spend a couple of days within the studio and try to create something from nothing, But I think Rihanna would be cool. That’d be interesting. Be cool to hear our voices together.”

Chris Stapleton tells American Songwriter that he brought a sleeping bag, a guitar and a sack of clothes when he moved to Nashville. “I moved to town with a chair, a sleeping bag, a sack full of clothes, a recorder, and my guitar. I didn’t want a cell phone. I didn’t want someone to be able to get a hold of me or know where I was, at any point in time. I wanted to be able to throw all my stuff in my car and leave.”

Carly Pearce tells CMT that she and Michael Ray are working hard on their wedding. “It’s such an exciting time for both of our families. And thankfully, we have so much in common, so we both agree on how we want our wedding to be. It’s a special time. We are working on the place, we are working on a date, and I’m working on the dress, and have asked a couple of designers to show me what’s possible. He’s way more into it than I thought he would be.”
