Carrie Gets A Surprise From Randy Travis Plus Aldean’s Gift In Today’s Nashville Insider

Ace Showbiz claims Carrie Underwood was recently performing at the Grand Ole Opry when Randy Travis surprised her on stage with a bouquet of flowers to celebrate her 10th anniversary as a member of the Opry. Carrie thanked Randy and then covered his song “An Old Pair of Shoes”.

Thomas Rhett tells The Sun that his life has changed for the better since he got married and brought two kids into his life. “My life could not have changed any more drastically in the last two years. My life will probably not change that much ever again. The last year has been chaos in the best way possible, that’s the best way you can describe it. My kids have been the influence for a lot of the songs on my next album, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. It’s been a very special couple of years.”

Jason Aldean gifted his wife Brittany with a ring for Mother’s Day. The diamond encrusted ring features her son’s birthstone and sits between her engagement and wedding ring.

Keith Urban tells CMT that he gets his fashion sense from Dwight Yoakam. “I told Dwight, ‘I hate saying this, Dwight, but I have a publicity picture of me from 1990 where I got tight stonewashed jeans with Conchos all the way up the side of my pants and a Bolero type suit jacket with the bolo tie and the snakeskin boots, I’ve got it all going on. I’m ‘Dwighting’ it to the hilt.”

Maren Morris tells Rolling Stone that getting married has changed her approach to making music. ”The lyrics are more grown-up. I recorded my debut album when I was 24; I’m 28 now. Doesn’t feel like that long ago, but a lot has happened in that chunk of time. I’m in a healthier headspace; I’m less judgmental of myself … Keith Urban has actually given me a lot of great advice. He’s like, “This is a snapshot of your life. It’s like a yearbook, so don’t overthink your second album. It’s just songs that reflect those years of time and then you move on and you make another album. Don’t even worry about the deadlines; they whoosh past. Just focus on being in there.” That took some of the heat off me.”

Life & Style Weekly Magazine claims Miranda Lambert is allegedly upset with Blake Shelton for insinuating that she broke up her married boyfriend’s marriage. A source tells the magazine, “Miranda still fiercely denies she cheated on Blake or had anything to do with the breakup of Evan’s marriage. Don’t expect her to sit back and take the disses for long. She’s going to return fire on Blake. Both Blake and Miranda were deeply shaken by their divorce, and it doesn’t look like they’ll ever get over it. They’ll be trading insults, put-downs, and breakup songs for a long time to come.”
