State health officials reported 313 additional deaths attributed to the coronavirus on Wednesday, bringing the pandemic death toll in Texas to 6,190. Officials also announced 9,042 new known cases, bringing the current statewide tally to 403,307. Only three other states, California, Florida, and New York have reported more cases.

Hopkins County has one new COVID-19 case reported by the State for 147 cases, with 78 recovered and 69 active cases. Four of the active cases are in the COVID Unit of Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs.

Hunt County had 1,010 total positive cases of the virus as of Wednesday. The numbers included 423 current cases with 407 patients recovering at home and 16 people in the hospital. A total of 579 people in Hunt County had recovered from the virus.
