Child Sex Predator Sentenced In Lamar County

After deliberating for about three hours, a Lamar County jury has convicted 35-year-old Jared Lawson of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and Indecency with a Child by Contact. The victims were a friend’s twin daughters, including special needs. Lawson also threatened to kill the girls’ mother if they told anyone. The court sentenced him to 65 years in prison. He must serve a total of 32 ½ years before applying for parole.
