Children’s COVID Cases On The Rise

Cook Children’s Medical Center is starting to be bombarded with COVID-19 patients again. In the latest report, 29 kids were in the hospital with COVID. At this time last week, that number was eight. Dr. Mary Suzanne Whitworth, the Medical Director of Infectious Diseases at Cook Children’s, says she broadly supports the new CDC guidelines of infected people showing no symptoms, only isolating for five days. She says almost all COVID-19 patients at Cook Children’s are unvaccinated.
