Chinese Upset With Pelosi Visit To Asia

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has angered the Chinese for her Taiwan visit. China claims Taiwan as part of its territory, and it views visits by foreign government officials as recognition of the island’s sovereignty. But former Lt Col Jeffrey Addicott, who now teaches at St. Mary’s in San Antonio says this was the appropriate move. China promised “resolute and strong measures” for the Pelosi visit.
