Two Chisum High School seniors recently performed in the Four States Bandmasters’ Association Honor Band. Jeffrey Hurst was the second chair trombone in the Symphonic Band conducted by W. Dale Warren from the University of Arkansas. Ali Amacendi was the tenth chair in the Concert Band conducted by Dr. Shaun Popp from Henderson State University. They held the concert at the Sullivan Performing Arts Center in Texarkana, Texas, on Saturday, January 14, 2023.
Chisum High School Sophomore Kadence Marsh recently performed in the ATSSB Region IV Honor Band. As a result of an arduous audition in December, they selected Marsh as first chair percussion in the Concert Band. The All Region Concert Band performed Saturday, January 21, at Gilmer High School under Melissa ISD Director of Fine Arts Jerry Whorton.
