Choctaw County Man Charged in Shooting

Choctaw County deputies say a man and his wife went to check on their neighbor, 54-year-old Billy Samis at his home in Unger, but when they knocked on his door, he started yelling and told them to leave. Deputies say Samis  then shot the man in the side of his chest and arm. Samis was later pulled over by an OHP trooper arrested him for DWI and possession of a firearm while intoxicated. The Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office says Samis also faces a charge of shooting with intent to kill. The neighbor is expected to survive.
