Choctaw Casino Resort – Grant held official groundbreaking ceremonies Thursday for a $50 million expansion to the property. The expansion includes the addition of 96 hotel rooms, two restaurants, a new poker room and an expanded resort pool. The project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2017.
“This expansion project will create over 100 new permanent jobs at the property and keep hundreds of area construction workers busy for the next year,” stated Chris Scrivner, general manager at Choctaw Casino Resort. “These new additions will create a new state-of-the-art property unlike anything in the area with suites overlooking the expanded pool and new food and beverage options for our guests..”
In addition to the 96 hotel rooms that include 23 suites, there will also be a pool bar, six-table poker room, a new bar and restaurant that will feature 25 flatscreen TV’s, and an additional 48 seats in the Firehouse Buffet. The resort will stay open and fully operational during the expansion and will take place in protected areas away from guests so as to not disrupt the visitor’s experience.
