This cold snap has devastated crops in South Texas. In the Rio Grande Valley, home to the state’s citrus crops, the arctic front came while most of the fruit was still on the trees. The Citrus Growers Association says they lost most of the grapefruit crop and all of the orange crops. They believe there will also be damage to next year’s crops, and you will feel it at the grocery store. Citrus prices will go up due to supply and demand.
