Groundbreaking For Senior Citizen Center

The City of Sulphur Springs is excited to break ground on the construction of the City’s Senior Citizen Center. The City will host a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, January 27, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the construction site at 301 Oak Avenue, Sulphur Springs.

A Community Development Block Grant federally funds this much-anticipated project with a CARES grant through the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) and a local funding match. The Senior Center will offer a prominent gathering place, a Meal-A-Day distribution center, and many resources and programs for the area’s senior citizen population.
