Coalgate, Oklahoma, Native Takes Title Of Oklahoma Army National Guard Best Warrior 2019

A Southeast Oklahoma firefighter has earned the title of Oklahoma Army National Guard’s Best Warrior. Sgt. Jared Griffin from Coalgate took part in the three-day competition at Camp Gruber in Muskogee County. Griffin competed in several events including a Physical Fitness Test, weapons marksmanship, an obstacle course and a 12-mile timed march while carrying a 35-pound pack.
