Collin County Teen Charged With Mother’s Murder

A Collin County teenager was arrested Sunday for allegedly murdering his mother. Officials are accusing the 15-year-old McKinney boy of beating to death his mother, 50-year-old Stacy Ellen Barney, inside the family home. They arrested the teen in the area during a search.
