Como Men Charged With Animal Cruelty

Hopkins County deputies arrested two Como men for allegedly shooting a dog and leaving it on the side of the road. Forty-eight-year-old Stephen Kyle Mayfield and 44-year-old  David Ryan Hayes were each charged with 3^rd degree felony cruelty to a non-livestock animal by killing, poisoning or causing serious bodily injury to the animal. Hayes is a convicted felon and was also charged with felon in possession of a firearm.
