Condemned Inmate Wants Firing Squad Instead Of Lethal Injection

Attorneys for a 66-year-old Texas death row inmate slated for execution this evening say his health problems make him unsuitable for lethal injection, and they’re requesting that he be rolled out in his wheelchair and be shot by a firing squad or given gas to cut off oxygen to his brain. Lawyers for Danny Paul Bible say if the request can’t be accepted, his execution should be halted.
