Constitutional Carry Passes State Senate

Permit-less carry handgun legislation passed the Texas Senate on Wednesday along strict party lines. Republican State Senator Charles Schwertner sponsored the bill, which would allow those over 21 eligible to purchase a handgun to carry in public without a permit. The Senate’s addition of amendments to the bill means that it’s now headed back to the house for approval.
