Ronald David Bailey
An inmate in the Hopkins County jail who pleaded guilty to murder last week and was sentenced to 35 years in prison now faces new charges. Authorities accuse Ronald David Bailey of Sulphur Springs of striking a jailer several times in the face, and they charged him with Assaulting a Public Servant. Bailey’s murder conviction and sentence stemmed from the fatal stabbing of 25-year-old Kendale Shawn Qualls of Sulphur Springs back in April.
