Conviction Upheld For Lamar County Habitual Criminal

The Sixth Court of Appeals in Texarkana has upheld the lengthy prison sentence of a habitual offender from Lamar County. The court denied the appeal from 30-year-old Joshua Ray Temple who was sentenced to 40 years in prison on a conviction of evading arrest with a motor vehicle, a deadly weapon. Turner had appealed on the grounds of ineffective counsel.
