Second Annual Cooper Tire Big Bass Tourney
Benefitting United Way of Greater Texarkana
NEARLY DOUBLED in Participants!!
137 Anglers
Millwood Lake-SW AR

We were hoping you could share more of the full story because this event attendance was double and much better than even anticipated! The overall conditions were pretty good on Saturday for fishing! Most fishermen reported catching quite a few fish, just not as big as they had hoped for unless you were one of the lucky winners! “The tournament itself nearly DOUBLED after its inaugural year to 137 anglers and raised nearly $10,000 for United Way of Greater Texarkana!”, said Mark Bledsoe, President/CEO United Way of Greater Texarkana. “It was an incredible sight, seeing all those bass boats lined up as far as you could see getting ready to launch for the event here at Yarborough Landing!” said Mark Bledsoe. “I’d like to ALL of those that made the 2nd Annual Cooper Tire Big Bass Tourney benefitting United Way of Greater Texarkana such a HUGE success!” Christine Linder, tourney director, said, “We were asked if we’d move our event up from our originally scheduled date. I was hesitant, and we weren’t sure how that would impact the tourney since there were some other major Bass tournaments held on this date. However; We’re very pleased with the result and everyone I talked to said they’re looking forward to it again next year!” “Congrats to the overall big bass winner Kelley Frix and the numerous other anglers that took home checks & prizes!”

Kelley Frix was the winner of the Cooper Tire Big Bass Tournament benefitting United Way of Greater Texarkana & won $2,150 in total prize money for his 6.37lbs, Largemouth Bass!
