Texas has surpassed 10,000 hospitalized coronavirus patients for the first time. Senators, John Cornyn and Ted Cruz joined forces in a letter asking the nation’s Health and Human Services Secretary to set up a field hospital in the Rio Grande Valley. Hospitals have become overwhelmed with patients along the Texas-Mexico border. Houston officials call for the city to lock back down as area hospitals strain to accommodate the spike in patients sick with the new coronavirus.
