Coronavirus Case In East Texas

The Northeast Texas Public Health District has its first case of coronavirus. The announcement came after the CDC’s confirmation of COVID-19 in a Gregg County man who recently traveled within the continental U.S. The patient is in self-isolation at home with mild symptoms and should be in isolation another two weeks. Officials say the risk of transmission remains low because there is no evidence suggesting the virus was community spread.
