COVID Deaths On The Rise

Hopkins County reported Saturday that the county now has 51 deaths from COVID-19, and Delta County said it now has its first death. Hunt and Lamar have 56 deaths each. Wood is reporting 48, Titus 40, Red River 8, Franklin 10, and Rains 8.

Lamar County sees a rise in COVID-19, and Dr. Amanda Green with Paris Regional Medical Center says it is taking a toll on staff. Green says the ICU at PRMC is at full capacity.

Free Covid-19 testing is at Paris Junior College, 2400 Clarksville St. It is available Monday through Wednesday from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm, and you need to register at GoGetTested.com. It is an oral test with no requirements, except you should not eat or drink before testing. Results returned within 96 hours.

Testing in Honey Grove is without an appointment in front of the library in Town Square between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Thursday through Saturday. It will then move back to the Fannin County Multipurpose Complex in Bonham from 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. On Nov. 30 through Dec. 3, it moves to Leonard’s Town Square from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm through Dec. 11.
