The COVID virus continues to mutate. You’ve heard of the Delta variant of COVID, and there is even Delta-Plus. The Lambda variant has now arrived. A patient at Houston’s Methodist Hospital has been confirmed to be infected with the Lambda variant, spreading across South America. Doctors and researchers remain focused on Delta, which is now the dominant strain in the United States.
