COVID numbers across the state continue to trend down. Texas Health and Human Services report COVID cases are still high but trending down. As of Monday, there are more than 23,000 new confirmed cases, 2,900 probable cases, and 24 deaths from the virus. Across Texas, 12,000 people remain hospitalized with COVID. However, that number has been trending down for the past week. Fewer than 400 of those hospitalized are children.
