COVID vaccines for five to eleven-year-olds are coming, but how many of those kids will get the shots? Dr. Erin Carlson, Director of UTA’s Graduate Public Health Programs, says there’s a lot of vaccine hesitancy with younger adults, so it stands to reason many of that group’s little kids won’t get the shots. But she’s hopeful many families choose to get their kids vaccinated, especially for kids with underlying health conditions. The vaccination will be a third of the regular dose and help protect the community at large.
