Cowboys Win But Lose Dak Plus High School Football Wk. 7 Wrap-up In Today’s Sports Update

The Dallas Cowboys needed a comeback Sunday afternoon to defeat the New York Giants 37-34, thanks to a Greg Zuerlein field goal as time expired. The Giants led 14-3 after the first quarter. Dallas responded with 21 in the second. The big blow to the Cowboys came in the second half of the win. While rolling to his left, Quarterback Dak Prescott got his legs tangled with defensive back Logan Ryan. In the fall, Prescott suffered a right ankle compound fracture and dislocation. They carted Prescott off the field with tears in his eyes and took him to the hospital where he had surgery Sunday night.

On Friday night, the Paris Wildcats took care of Ranchview 50-0. The North Lamar Panthers fell to Liberty Eylau 22-0, and the Panthers recovered five fumbles in the first half. James Bowie defeated Clarksville 46-23, Detroit got their first win of the year with a 32-26 victory over Maud. Daingerfield shut out Prairiland 57-0, Pewitt handed Chisum their first district loss 47-28, Cooper beat Rivercrest 24-21, Rivercrest had a 21-7 lead before the Bulldogs scored 17 unanswered, and Honey Grove fell to Celeste 20-8.
