Cumby Police Seize Nearly $100,000 During Traffic Stop

Cumby police stopped a vehicle on I-30 at about 1:15 Tuesday morning and initiated a search of the vehicle after finding a green-leafy substance inside.  A further search turned $98,000 in cash.  17 year old Yassen Ali Alkholani of California and 24 year old Mohammed Al-Thawr of Illinois were arrested and booked into the Hopkins County jail on charges of  Unlawful Use of a Criminal Instrument. There bonds were set at $20,000 each. The investigation is continuing.
