A Dallas man, who pleaded guilty to holding up the Texas West Store on Hwy 154 in Upshur County, opted to have a jury determine his punishment. That jury sentenced 30-year-old Gerald Michael Hiam to 75 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Haim had five prior felony convictions along multiple misdemeanor convictions.
